Morbid songs....

I wonder how many of you actually listen to some of children's songs located all over the world. On my part, listening to some of them, I find that they are actually creepy. Take this children's song in French called Alouette:

And here's another one, Kagome Kagome. A Japanese children's game song. One child will be chosen as oni, or demon, and have to guess who's standing behind him/her. It's not so bad... except the tune is pretty creepy (totally not cheerful like children songs should be) and plus the fact it's about demon... yea...

Sometimes the last few lines are translated literally as the following:

Makes me wonder... do the children realize what they are singing? In fact, does the parents actually listen to the content of the songs that children sings?
