I bet Chao would put me through the wringer for even saying this.

I didn't suddenly decided to pick up my blog again. It's more like someone reminded me I have a blog and I haven't updated it in like a long time. Sooo.... here I am! I just have to figure out what I am going to blog...

I've started working, just to let those who don't know, doing documentation. It's quite fun actually. What is not fun is the fortnightly meeting we have. Kinda pointless since we all think the boss is just having the meeting just to get all of us in one place, which means most of the time the meeting is a bore. Most of the time we're asked to present something on language, making it feel like we're attending English class than a meeting. Sometimes we get to do something productive, like asking opinions of each other on a standard or just plain observation. But most of the time it's unproductive and waste of time. So my boss had this brilliant idea to have training during the meeting just to keep us in meeting. I mean, the training is ok, just sometimes it goes near the edge of pointless again. Sigh... I hope Yin is having a better time doing documentation than I am.

Had two death in my family since I last blog. Most of you already knew the passing of my maternal grandfather and paternal step-grandmother. The lost of my grandpa hit us hard, even Foong Yen. She has been close to my family and she was there with us during the last moments of my grandpa. Ren has been a great help too, coming to stay with me and cheer me up from night till early morning, and helping to take care of the house while my family and I settle the burial. He pretty much earn brownies points with my family... ahaha... If you're reading this, thanks again Ren. You're a life saver.

An d I recently adopted a dog, a Golden Retriever. He's now 13 months old. Darn huge for a Golden though. He's 2 ft tall!! Was hoping he'll gain some weight and not look like an underfed dog, instead he shoot up in height. Nobody believed me when I told them that the dumb dog is just a year old! Though there was this man... he believe me... except... he trains guard dogs for a living... so obviously he would have seen some pretty huge dog. Went to a dog obedience competition once, as a spectator, mind. Those retrievers there are all smaller than mine... everyone asked me what I fed him... sigh... Silly thing though. Loves to disturb my dad. Whenever my dad's home, he'll stick close to my dad and almost always cause my dad to trip. Likes to sleep right in front of wherever my dad's sitting. Haha... only does that to my dad.

And now comes the truth why I'm so free to write so much nonsense. I've finished my work and now I have nothing to do... and now I have nothing to blog as well... sigh...

Convo pix

Okay, here are the requested convo pictures. at least it's true.

But honestly, it has been like ages since I last blog. I could blog earlier... but as usual I kept procrastinating and procrastinating... and yea, well...

So... anyway, been doing a lot of interesting things... Let's see...

In June I mostly lay around and hoping that I actually pass my stupid paper and finally graduate. Though truthfully, passing or not does not really matters to me... it the sitting for the exam that really gets to me. I wish to know who is the delightful idiot that first thought of examination to test us. Hmm... history does always mentioned some form of test or so... so maybe it 's part of growing up...

... Sigh... Have I mentioned how much I hate exams? As in really, really loath them?

Of course, during this time I got hooked into playing online games and sleeping. And spending some time actually writing my resume and sending out applications... I know, I know... I should really enjoy what freedom I had but I was getting really bored. And a bored Kaikai is never really a good thing... well, according to my friends anyway. Never did see what's so bad about it... So anyway, I was lucky enough to be offered a job to start in July, as a technical writer. Apparently my English is good enough. *Insert big, big grin.

Then come July, of course, there the new work, but before I did, I went Langkawi!! With Chao, Yeow and darling brat who goes by the name of Eugene. Met up with Jia Yi there too. Poor guy, working on the island so alone. Hahaha... Some pictures of Langkawi above.

Started work 2 days after coming back from Langkawi. Pretty interesting job. Plenty of reading and writing... and having wonderful friends telling me that the job description really suit me. Please note the sarcasm.

And then there's the convo in August... Will post the pictures in next post. You just want to see me in keipo, Chao. Yea, I actually did wear my cheongsam to convo. Garnered plenty of attention... well, duh...

Ah... I'm getting lazy... Shall stop blogging now.

Let's go to the zoo, there's a lot of things to do...

I went to the zoo!!! Melaka zoo for your information... the one which Chao still does not want to go and Chanlie flat out refuses to go... Mean people...

Anyways... I went to the zoo!!! With Ray Mun and my 'twin', Jia Shin (those who actually know my name in mandarin would know why she's my twin). Somehow, even though I am a bit obsessive (though Yeow would say I'm utterly obsessive, same difference really) over the zoo trip, I, myself, was pretty amazed that we ended up spending a total of five and a half hours in the zoo... Wow, I say.

I did see Nikki, the tiger that was almost eaten. She pretty grown up... see pix on the left. Not a good capture of her... she's too agitated to stay still. I managed to capture a tiger showing off its fangs too. Melaka zoo probably has the most tigers in whole of Malaysia...

Lots of birds as well... as colourful as you can imagine. Cute owls bopping their heads with squint-y eyes, large impressive vulture (vulture as in vulture, there's only one vulture there), the normal collections of pretty flighty birds, parrots, macaws and cockatoo, eagles and hawks, all sort of cranes, and those fanciful birds that have flowers on their heads (no idea what are their names, not too interested).

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; Open pastures for the safari animals (read: herbivores) to run around. The most amazing thing happened here. As we turned the corner of the walking platform, the giraffes got spooked or something, and were running. That was the most amazing sight I have ever seen! Those giraffes run like they were flying! They honestly gives that impression. It was stunning... stunning enough that none of us actually remember to capture a video of that. We were too mesmerized... Hahaha...

Deers... whatever sub-species of deers you can think of, they have it... I think I had enough of deers by the time I was halfway through the zoo... Do they actually need that many deers? They mostly look the same too.

And a zoo is never complete without a couple of monkeys. On my part, listening to some of them, I find that they are actually creepy. Take this children's song in French called Alouette:

Alouette, gentille alouette, (Lark, gentle lark)
Alouette, je te plumerais. (Lark, I will pluck you)
Je te plumerais la tête. (I will pluck you head)
Je te plumerais la tête. (I will pluck you head)
Et la tête, Et la tête ! (Your head, your head)
Et la tête, Et la tête ! (Your head, your head)
A, a, a, a
Alouette, gentille alouette, (Lark, gentle lark)
Alouette, je te plumerais. (Lark, I will pluck you)
Je te plumerais les nez. (I will pluck your nose)
Je te plumerais les nez. (I will pluck your nose)
Et les nez, Et les nez ! (Your nose, your nose)
Et les nez, Et les nez ! (Your nose, your nose)
A, a, a, a
Alouette, gentille alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerais.
Je te plumerais les youx. (I will pluck your eyes)
Je te plumerais les youx.
Et les youx, Et les youx !
Et les youx, Et les youx !
A, a, a, a
Alouette, gentille alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerais.
Je te plumerais la bouche. (I will pluck your mouth)
Je te plumerais la bouche.
Et la bouche, et la bouche !
Et la bouche, et la bouche !
A, a, a, a
Alouette, gentille alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerais.
Je te plumerais les bras. (I will pluck your arms)
Je te plumerais les bras.
Et les bras, et les bras !
Et les bras, et les bras !
A, a, a, a
Alouette, gentille alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerais.
Je te plumerais les mains. (I will pluck your hands)
Je te plumerais les mains.
Et les mains, et les mains !
Et les mains, et les mains !
A, a, a, a
Alouette, gentille alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerais.
Je te plumerais les jambes. (I will pluck your legs)
Je te plumerais les jambes.
Et les jambes, et les jambes !
Et les jambes, et les jambes !
A, a, a, a
Alouette, gentille alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerais.
Je te plumerais les pied. (I will pluck your feet)
Je te plumerais les pied.
Et les pied, et les pied !
Et les pied, et les pied !
A, a, a, a

And here's another one, Kagome Kagome. A Japanese children's game song. One child will be chosen as oni, or demon, and have to guess who's standing behind him/her. It's not so bad... except the tune is pretty creepy (totally not cheerful like children songs should be) and plus the fact it's about demon... yea...

かごめかごめ 籠の中の鳥は Kagome Kagome Kago no naka no Tori wa
いついつ出やる　夜明けの晩に Itsu Itsu deyaru? Yoake no ban ni
鶴と亀と滑った Tsuru to kame ga subetta.
後ろの正面だあれ。 Ushiro no shoumen daare ?

Kagome, Kagome, the bird in the cage,
when will you come out?
In the evening of the dawn, the crane and turtle slipped.
Who stands right behind you now?

Sometimes the last few lines are translated literally as the following:

At dawns and evenings.
Who is in front of the back,
where a crane and turtle slipped and fell?

And here's an English one, Gopher Guts:

Great green globs of greasy grimy gopher guts,
Mutilated monkey meat,
Little dirty birdies' feet,
Great green globs of greasy grimy gopher guts,
And I forgot my spoon!
Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts,
Mutilated monkey meat,
Itsy bitsy birdie feet,
French fried eye-balls,
Rolling down a muddy street,
And I forgot my spoon....But I got my straw!
Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts,
Mutilated monkey meat,
Saturated birdy feet,
All wrapped up in all purpose porpoise pus.
And me without a spoon!
Gee whiz! (but I've got a straw)
Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts
Mutilated monkey meat
Chopped up dirty birdy feet.
A one pound jar of all purpose porpoise pus
Swimming in pink lemonade.
Scab sandwich, spit on top
Monkey vomit, camel snot
Eagle eye and cookie goo
Made a sandwich just for you.

Makes me wonder... do the children realize what they are singing? In fact, does the parents actually listen to the content of the songs that children sings?

What a morbid world....

Deja vu anyone?

I was just minding my own studies the other day (it being the day of my midterm held at night) when my roommate came back from buying dinner and informed me that she's going next door to play cards. FYI, next door means the room besides ours instead of another apartment. I was curious, I mean I know they play cards every once in a while but I have never went to join or even see what kind of card games they're playing. And I admit, I was plain bored from studying and it being just an hour and a half from exam, I decided to venture into the next room to check out the fuss.

Turn out they were playing 'chor di' on the floor. And no, I did not play... I think I'll lose. Not because they're that good, but more like they have no tactics, techniques or even styles! They just throw out whichever cards they have and hope that their last card will win. The one game which I sat through from beginning to the end have them throwing all the big cards and the last few cards are all small numbers. Granted, it's real good for a laugh 'cause it's so haywire! I even told them that they have no tactics, which they just laugh at.

That brought me to think about the whole house and the 'structure'. It's eerily similar to my first year where I stayed at EP as well. My room then was facing the toilet, like the room I'm having now. And the room where they all go play 'chor di', yup, the same room was used to play 'chor di' in my first year. And when take in account the characters I have in my house now and then... they are almost alike.

Scary... but fun!

It's just unfortunate that they all speaks in Mandarin and not Cantonese like my first year. Of course, the minute they all realize I understands Mandarin despite not speaking it... well, taking advantage would be the right word to use. They just go on speaking in mandarin to me despite me replying in English. Ah... beggars can't be choosers I guess.

I told my old roomy about my new housemates and all, and she just laugh her head off. She came back to EP for a year without me, and she managed to land the room facing the toilet. Maybe it's fate that we just have that room...

Or maybe lady Fate is having a good laugh at my expense... who knows?

Well, as long as it doesn't hurt me or put me in trouble, deja vu amuses me too.

Update for the month of February!!

Hmm... now that I think about it, update for the month of February includes CNY as well isn't it? Hmm... Ah! Now I remember, I absolutely have to post a few pictures up. Especially the dress I wore for the 1st day. You guys will never believe I actually wore something like this for the whole day...

Nice dress? What do you guys think? My labrat claimed that he has never seen me so girlish! My dad was actually pretty pleased with the dress... which I'm very surprise and pleased... since he's a hard man to please with his old-fashioned mind. I guess it helps too when my Lili is dress more provocatively... Hehehe...

And the picture below... is my niece!!! Some-what... my cousin's daughter. Cute brat, but damn, she has a damn good pair of lungs.

I had a good CNY in whole. Had a great time with my cousins as well as the normal gathering on the 3rd day of CNY. Chao is right though, this year's gathering lacked a lot of people. Sigh... how sad...

After that, I have been in Malacca for my final semester... and I must say... It's boring. With a capital B... as a matter of fact, capitalize the whole word. Can't help it I guess, half my normal hang-out buddies have return to their respective home town... Miss you guys lots...

I guess the highlight of my time here would be GACC which was held on March 1 and 2. I was asked (Note: begged by puppy eyes, threatened and whined at) to attend by one of my friends as she will be cos-playing... I guess she want to show off her outfit... Of course, was suppose to go together with Ray, Mei Ling and a few others but they ended up going KL and I'm left all alone... and I did tell Uncle Ee I'll be going to see him play in his band... and another friend to meet up... So ya, I went on my own in the end. Damn near freak out right at the entrance... you people better be thankful I actually went AND stayed. On both days too!!

I admit, I did have fun... lots of fun. Especially on the 2nd day since Chao was there. Met her friend Imran there... He's a nice guy, I just wished he did not feel the need to tell me how Hard Gay smells like up close. Ignorance is truly bliss you know... I mean... right. Next!

Go find Chao for nice pictures of the event. I did not take any pictures... will get some from a few friends, but go get it from those who has a camera! Hehehe...

Right... and that's it for the month of February...

I know i know... but a lazy person like me need slack... so... until next time!

When I remember that is....

Back to school...

I'm back in Malacca... for my final semester. It feels really, really odd to be back here after so long not having any classes or lectures. And the stupidest thing? I'm only back here for a week. Then it's CNY... no idea why the admin can't make it so that some of us don't have to make the long trip back.

Then again, not like it makes any difference since some of the students never bother to come back... Unfortunately I'm not one of them...

And I'm living in EP, which stands for Emerald Park, an apartment-style hostel for MMU students just outside campus. Which means everyday, for classes, lunch, dinner, and any other actvities, I have to climb up and down three floors of stairway. Wahahahaha... it was fun working there, and I get to polish up my people skills, which probably many of you will say that it's rotten or non-existance... but come on, with so many of you being such good PRs, what the use of little old me? Hehehehe

CNY's coming... and I can't believe my mum actually bully me into buying a dress for new year! Okay, I admit that I do not have any new clothes for the new year, or shoes... or anything... but hey, I still got time, don't I? Instead she actually came to Borders on my last day and bug me to go buy at least a dress for new year... and I actually did...

I don't know whether I should despair over the fact my mum bug me to buy a new dress or the fact I actually did to shut her up... mothers....

Okay, for those of you who are going out together on the third of CNY, well, please, pretty please decide a place to eat and all... I don't wanna go Nandos again just because Jermaine says so... we have been to Nandos for the past 3 CNY!!! Maybe not Gurney then... wa!!!

Talking about Gurney, I went there few weeks ago, near the full moon and I got some pretty great pictures of the moon. Oh, lovely books!

For your information, I'm currently working part-time in Borders, Queensbay. Well... considered part-time since I still have to go back to study end of January but working full-time shift. So whoever is free and in Penang... feel free to visit me!!!! I told some of my friends I'm working there and the response was, "oh, really ar? It suits you.". Do everyone sees me as someone who is always surrounded by books??!!

Working in Borders made me realized that some kids are really monsters!!! The devil's reincarnate!! They come and just tear open books or wrapping with no regards to the books or even the patrolling employees. Monsters!! And the worse thing is their parents let them do whatever they want and when we reprimanded them, some of the parents can even turn their face away and ignore us!! Geez, no only do their kids do not have any manners or courtesy, they themselves don't have any either. No wonder their kids turned out so bad. But some of the kids are so adorable and sweet... one kid even gave me a flying kiss and another was talking to me about my braces. So cute!!!

I get employee discount on buying books!! Hehehe... but before I utilizes it, my two brats (for those of you who dunno, my brats happened to be my two sisters) already came to me to ask me to buy manga for them... sigh... Well, at least I used the employee discount, right? Oh... I believe I get discount at Starbucks too... not too sure about that, but I think I do. :D

Right I have to get ready for work. So people, come find me!!! Wahhahahaha...

Till next time! Muaks!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://labratkai.blogspot.com/2007/10/books-oh-lovely-books.html' title='Books... I'm finally able to have time to update. Chao has been messaging me... must have thought that I had disappeared off the face of the planet. Hehehe... And I finally completed my FYP!!! Yahoo!!! But you know what? My presentation sucks. The usual procedure is that any Q&A sessions are after the presentation, correct?

Wrong!! At least for me. My moderator practically stopped me at every single slide I have to ask questions! It was so bad that my supervisor was helping my through the whole thing by elaborating my answers to my moderator's questions. At least right immediately after the presentation I was told that my work is complete and all and I can find them the next day for any corrections to be done before handing in the final report to the faculty. One small mercy for a lot of pain...

But at least that's over and done with. And now let me present to you... Bali pictures!! Yup yup, I went Bali in July and it's beautiful.

The first view I have of Bali just before the plane landed.

One of the famous temples in Bali which is just right next to a cliff.

BBQ seafood dinner by the beach...

to watch the setting sun as you have your dinner.

Mount Kintamani, the volcano which erupted few years back... the blackish land are the dried lava.

The lake surrounding the volcano, and the village which will only house 400 families. After my incident with the snatch thief, I have been slowly getting all my stuffs back, like MyCard, driving license, bank cards, my other cards... of course, bought a new phone as well, though kept my old number. Thank God for those registration thingy.

Just came back from China about two weeks ago. And just came back from Melaka yesterday. Been doing a lot of travelling. Just to inform those who has been asking, I won't be graduating this year but next. I'm extending my final year project (FYP), so I won't be graduating so soon.

Like I said, I went to China, Beijing, Chengde and Tian Jin. Very nice trip. It was the summer, so it was not too hot or too cold. Weather is just nice. And I realized one thing, China people are really into FengShui!! I mean everything is FengShui... including where to place your aquarium!! The imperial palace, the Forbidden City, is practically structured on FengShui itself. Not only that the FengShui master we met even talk about our very own Petronas Twin Towers that carries several characteristics of FengShui which makes it a very good and erm... fortunate(???) building! I never wanna hear anything about FengShui anymore.

This China trip I went has been nothing but seeing palaces, and more palaces and more palaces. I mean, true, they have enough lands to build more palaces, but honestly, do they even use all those palaces?? Got summer palace and winter palace... vacation palace... whatever palace. They really enjoyed life, don't they.

Anyway, enough nonsense. Feast your eyes on the photos I took!

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5080800017594813090" style="FLOAT: left; Worms too… at least the one below happened to be just squids, (3) More worms, red meat… and those thin, greyish things on the tray? They’re centipedes… yuck! (4) Sea urchin anyone? And ya, didn’t managed to take a nice picture of it, but there are scorpions as well… and I just had my dinner before heading there…

Talk about fully utilizing the parking lots…

The five cute mascots of the 2008 Olympics Games… no idea what kind of creatures they are (though we’re pretty sure the black one is a panda), but I do know their names!! Was not a good exam overall... but can do. Just frustrated that whatever I deemed important was not such a good spot on. But the best thing came after that. Someone actually reached into my bag, as in take my bag, opened it up and took my phone, zipped it bag and put my bag back where that thief took it. He only took my phone, left my wallet. So fine, I lost my phone...

The next day, while walking back from campus, I had the luck to meet a snatch-thief. So now, not only is my phone stolen, my purse, IC, driver's license, in short, everything is gone!

I know, I can't do anything. What is done is done, but I am so pissed!!

And we found out later, my friends and I, that this little b**tard is a pretty well-known idiot. He goes around snatching ppl stuffs, normally targeting ladies and students. Even students walking in groups! No one has been able to catch him as of yet.

Went to the police station, found out from chit-chatting with the policewomen, a lot of snatching been going on in Malacca. Kinda makes u wonder how safe is Malacca...

Oh well, people, if you can't get me through my phone... well you know what happened.

By the way, I'm coming back Penang tomorrow, Thursday.

What a good farewell greeting huh?

Exam blues...

Having exams sucks... BIG time! The fact that I still can't believe I'm having exams now does not help either (and I finished three papers already!!).

I mean who can blame me? Exams started last week, first paper on the 15th, and I handed in my last assignment on the 11th, the Friday before the exam week. It's just too weird that all of us are still so hung up over assignments when we should be studying for our finals!!

Add in all those crazy happenings around me, like my sister buzzing me through Ym! around midnight just to inform me that her pet hamster, Hero (which I personally believe Coward is a more suitable name than Hero), needs a mate. Nope people, you did not hear me wrong, her wonderful pet needs a mate. Why? Because she and her roommate caught him, and I quote 'pleasing himself'. If I do not need my head to study and finish my assignments, I would have just bang my head on the table... several times. The fact that my housemates are asleep helps in stalling my imminent self-inflicted-headache. But the ensuing conversation (which I will never, ever repeat, for the love of my sanity) had me from twitching to moaning about needing more coffee and finally to asking my housemate if we stock hard liquor in our house. It did not help when the said housemate came over and read through the messages and concluded that hard liquor is a necessity.

And I have yet to watch Spiderman... though hearing from my friends about it kinda put me off it... I mean, they concluded the ending as a good contender for the ending of Titanic, for gays that is. No offense to any gays... but still... Spiderman is suppose to be and action show, no? It's suppose to be 'good guys win, bad guys die' kind of thing, no? With a lot of supernatural nonsense and what-not, no? So hearing about Titanic scene kinda... odd...

I should be studying, will be having my last paper on Fabrication tomorrow. Not that I hate it, I find it fascinating in contrast to many people. It's just that there's so many things to memorize! And anyone who knows me knows how good my memory is... which is very bad. Sigh...

Most of my batch are 'merdeka-ing' already. Lucky brats... Hahaha... many asked if I have search for a job. I have not, I just don't think I wanna rush looking for job. True, I have finish studying, and like many, it means it is time to take my next step into the world. But when I really sit down and think about it, do I really want to search for a job immediately after graduating? Or maybe I want to do something else? Do I wanna to get myself stuck in an office or even a factory so immediately after graduating? Or maybe I want to go open my eyes a bit and look around? I really don't know. But I do know I don't want to get stuck in an office yet. Hell, working in a coffee house sound a lot better than that.

I'm just not ready to go out as an engineer yet. Or maybe I don't want to. Sometimes when one spend so much time doing something, they just lost interest in it. Like me... I'm not one of those who just continue on with life as it is. In fact, I'm dissatisfied with it. I don't wanna get coped up doing what everyone expect me to. I wanna live... I'm tired of living up to expectations. Life like that... is not life at all. I'm just thankful that I have the luxury to do that. And that I have parents that, no doubt, will be frowning over this but will still let me do as I wish.

I wonder, how many of you have ever think that you have lost your way in life? Not the 'I got lost in the road of life' via Kakashi-style from Naruto, but the one where you find that your life holds no meaning what-so-ever for you? Where the things you do no longer satisfy you or even give you a sense of accomplishments? Where everything has seems so monotonous that you just get frustrated over little things or find that you no longer have the urge to get something done? Or when you find yourself unable to care even when you know that your actions might yield unsatisfactory results or consequences for you?

I have, and now I'm in the slums of all slums, and I can't seem to pull myself out of it. And frankly, I'm making a mess out of my life right now.

Mayhaps that is the reason I'm not searching for a job. On the risk of sounding cliche, I need to find myself first before I find a job. Besides.... I really need a break.

In the end, it comes down to one thing... what do I want out of my life?

Maybe the stress of the semester is really catching up to me, leading to my blue-state.

PROM!!!

Went for a prom on Sunday nite... at Palace of the Golden Horses. Food is superbly good!!

Then again, it should be... it's PGH after all.

Though I was a bit out of place there... cos everyone's from cyber (with a few Malaccan MMU-ians like me and my friends). Performances... was so-so. Seriously don't like the female MC though, it feels like she was screeching her way through the night. Not to say she's bad, but her voice too sharp to be soothing to be MC. Band was overall not bad. MMU students band.

Of course, throughout the whole prom, no one was listening to the MCs, majority of the people ignored the best dresses and prom royalties elections... oh lets not forget the latin dance. Honestly, after learning some stuff about dancing (theory, not practical) and watching dance competitions (not 'So you think you can dance', but 'Dancing with the stars'), the latin dance was a serious let-down. The girl actually stumbled a few times, the dress is all wrong for a latin ballroom dance, and I believe one of the dances they performed was actually a jive(!!), not a latin dance. And according to Peiyi, they do not shake enough (no groove I guess...). Their choice of music is nice though...

It was actually a crazy photo session the whole night! Everyone who is anyone is taking pictures left, right, center!! Total chaos... nice food goes to waste when there's no one to eat them... Hehehe. But the girls were really pretty that night. All beautifully dressed up, some even have trains on their dresses.

And I got a group photo with my housemates of my first year in MMU!!! That is a very amazing feat, cause there are actually nine (yes, NINE) of us all together. Gathering together is extremely hard.

Here's a picture of my whole gang of housemates... pretty girls all line up in a row. Hahahaha...

And another of my good friends from Malacca... There's more, but most did not attend this prom.

And this pretty girl besides me is my Industrial Training friend, met in Motorola. Without her... I'll be seriously girls-deprived (is there even such word?) there. Unfortunately she's a cyberian... :(

I wonder how many of you can actually recognize what I am wearing....

Unfortunately, the minute I come back Malacca is work, work, work again. Sigh... weekend was good while it lasted....

Okay! Time to start doing assignments and studying again!

One more year to a Quarter-Century old.... Wow...

It's 21st... two days past my birthday. Kinda boring, since my birthday was spend doing my FYP report. Horrible!!! But on the good side, I finish the report!! So there! 97 pages though... I feel like I wrote a whole book.

Chao called me, wishing me happy-one-more-year-to-be-a-quarter-century-old. I have no idea whether to be annoyed or to be amused. Still it's a birthday wish... Thanks Chao!

Of course Chao was not the only one who wished me, but hers was the one that managed to make me break apart from my "beloved" report-writing and just stare.

Will not be free anytime soon, not with reports, assignment and final exam. Found out my convo will be in September, but will be finishing end-of-May. So people, I'm coming back to Penang!!!

Wait for me, here I come (back)!!!!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://labratkai.blogspot.com/2007/04/one-more-year-to-quarter-century-old.html' title='One more year to a Quarter-Century old.... (*Big silly silly grin)

This sunday is Malacca Historical Day and the following monday is a replacement holiday!!!

Actually, it's not the holiday I'm apparently crazy about. After all I'll be stuck with writing my FYP report (which in all honesty is what I should be doing RIGHT now!)... I just can't get what the big fuss about a historical day. Sure, it's Malacca, filled with history and blah blah... so is many other states when you really think about it. Okay, maybe Malacca have more history... and more bloodshed I bet. History only seems to make a mark when it's something exceptional... or there's plenty of death and angst involved.

And the best thing was... ready or not... a malaccan has no idea what Malacca Historical Day is all about!!! I asked him, and he went like 'oh... really ar? What is it about?'.

... I rest my case.

......

Maybe I should hunt for more malaccans to ask about this...

Wow... new toy...

No, not really. Just something way overdue. Those who always complain that I go MIA would know what I mean when I started this blog. A little something that will let everyone knows what the heck is going on around me while I'm not around you guys. Aw... how nice of me ain't it?

Anyway, for those who do not know or haven't realized yet, I'm in my last year (last semester in fact) of my degree. Even better for those who keep forgetting where on Earth I'm studying (... please do not go 'Oh my God, you're STILL studying??!!', thank you very much), I'm studying in MMU in Melaka. MELAKA, people! Please get some facts correct... at least for my sanity. My aunts, uncles as well as cousins already give me enough grieve, please do not add to it. Sob~~

Okay, enough sob story. Sorry for the emo-thingy there. I'm writing my final year project report. As you can probably guess, it's not going so well. Thinking process not working, structuring sentences is a lot harder when I'm trying to write it so that idiots would understand. Not idiots as in idiots, but idiots as in people who do not know a single thing I'm talking about. At least that is my assumption guideline in writing the report. Plus the fact I'm easily distracted (this being a good example)... report is so gone...

Anyway, I'm graduating in June... I think. Well, I finish my finals end of May, but the official ceremony will be held in God knows when. And then I'm leaving Melaka for good! Not that Melaka is not nice, but I really misses Penang. Penang is the best! Woo~hooo!!

I just realized, (yes, please comment more on my blur-ness) that I have many friends utilizing the Internet! Even those who used to tell me that computers are the bane of their life and I should never mention the word 'computer' ever in their presence. Now, wow... they are actually using it. Hahaha... That was mean of me, but nonetheless very true.

I want to go to Melaka zoo before I graduate... a bit crazy, I know, but I just have this urge to visit some of Melaka sites before I come back to Penang permanently. So, anyone wanna join me? I'll be sure to find you a place to stay if my house is not big or good enough.

I should really go back to my report... my reference books and notes are all glaring at me!

Until next time.
